In winter the Funivie del San Gottardo cable car takes skiers and snowboarders to a great skiing area at 2000 metres above sea level. In the Bedretto valley you can find a large number of cross-country tracks. Numerous historical buildings, churches, museums and military forts recall the eventful past of the Leventina valley.
