This charming hotel provides an oasis of serenity in the heart of Portugal. The guest rooms, all of which are located in a new building, far from sight, were erected in keeping with the local architecture and decor.

Cosy and quiet, all spacious Twin rooms include bathrooms and open onto private terraces or a balcony with a view of the gardens, the swimming pool, wine gardens and the pleasant, traditional village of Alcantarilha, keeping at a distance to preserve quietness, serenity and an intimate atmosphere.

The bar is open in the summer season from 12:00 to 22:00.

Area information

We are located in the small village of Alcantarilha, 7 km from the main shopping centre, Algarve Shopping, 5 km from Zoomarine, 1 km from Aqualand and 5 km from the beach of Armação de Pêra. In the village you can find some small shops and typical supermarkets.

Travel information

By Car: From Faro Airport: - Follow the signs to A 22 motorway (Via do Infante) in the direction of Portimão/Lagos. - After more or less 45 km, take exit number 7 to Alcantarilha. - Turn left at the big roundabout. - After 1 km, you will find another little roundabout, and Hotel Capela das Artes is on your left-hand side. From Lisbon city or Lisbon airport: - Follow the signs to the A-2 highway. - Take the Vía do Infante motorway. - Turn right and continue to exit number 7.

Quick description

Located on a historical spot in central Algarve, the hotel is part of the Quinta da Cruz, an estate which has been listed as Portuguese national heritage. The complex consists of a 15th century mansion and a consecrated chapel, from which the name of the estate derives. Thanks to its location in central Algarve, the hotel is easy to access, with the famous beaches of the Algarve at a very short distance. For those who like Spain, it can be reached in one hour by motorway, while a trip to Seville will take you 2 hours, almost the same distance as to Lisbon, the capital of Portugal.

From December to February, the hotel is closed. There is a minimum stay of 2 nights.
