The original Hotel Mogorjelo was burnt and destroyed during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina. After 15 years it has been totally renewed and moderately arranged. It is now a 4-star hotel with high service quality which offers many other interesting facilities.

Food & beverage

The food in the restaurant is prepared with care and according to the best traditional recipes. You can enjoy your meals at the hotel terrace with a beautiful view to the green Neretva river. 30 people can comfortably sit at the outside terrace, while the internal part of the restaurant seats another 60 guests. Different delicacies are served in the restaurant to please the taste of many connoisseurs who gladly choose to organise their business meetings and celebrations in the pleasant ambiance of Mogorjelo restaurant. Groups of guests travelling through the region often stop by for a light lunch or a snack. Guests hungry for some traditional food are also regular visitors of the restaurant.

Area information

There are various trips that the hotel organises, in close collaboration with the surrounding nature. These include rafting, a barbecue and swim, and a canoe-safari on the Trebižat river. Guitar-evenings under the stars, bird-watching at Hutovo Blato National Park, boat-tours of the Hutovo Blato lakes and a picnic at the Herzegovina's most beautiful waterfalls Kravice ('little cows'). The hotel that s located only 9 km away from Medjugorje which is a world famous pilgrimage sight. Since 1981, in a small village named Medjugorje in Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Blessed Virgin Mary has been appearing and giving messages to the world.

Travel information

Hotel Mogorjelo is located in the heart of Herzegovina, by the green river Neretva, at the very entrance to the town of Čapljina. If you are travelling by car, the M17 road will lead you to the Čapljina town bridge. The hotel is situated to the right of the bridge. If you choose to travel via plane and land into Split or Dubrovnik airport, it will take you a pleasant 2 hour drive to reach Mogorjelo. The Čapljina railway and bus stations are situated 5 minutes away from the hotel.

Hotel Mogorjelo is located in the town of Capljina, on the banks of the Neretva River. It offers 38 rooms and 3 presidential suites. Additionally it offers an à la carte restaurant by our renowned chef, Mr. Andrija Pole, and a café bar with a terrace overlooking the green river of Neretva. Our conference hall comfortably accommodates 60 people, and its maximum capacity is 100 attendants. It is equipped with a notebook computer, projector and a flip chart for the convenience and ease of conveying important information and business ideas.

Quick description

Motel Hrasno is situated in the old part of town, 150 metres from the Neretva River. The Hrasno features a wine bar where guests can sample local and foreign wines, liqueurs, and homemade grappa. Rooms offer simple furnishings and a private bathroom with a shower. Some rooms offer views of the historic street which the motel is on. The restaurant serves local specialities and is located in the cellar. Horse riding, canoeing, river rafting, waterfall walks, and tours to the nature park can be organised on site. Free of charge, public parking and Wi-Fi available throughout the hotel is available. Guests can use the TV in the lobby of the motel and relax in the bar or out on the terrace. Restaurants, cafés, a bank and money exchange, car rental and promenades along the river Neretva are all within a 10-minute walk away. The town’s bus and train station is 500 metres away while there is a taxi stand a minutes’ walk from the property.
