Area information

The peaceful and quaint town of Caputh is located south of Brandenburg’s capital, Potsdam (approx. 6 km) and about 25 km from the centre of Berlin. Both are easily reached via the nearby motorway connection. It is surrounded by 2 idyllically situated lakes – Lake Templin and Lake Schwielowsee, and is where Einstein spent most of summertime from 1929 to 1932.

This family-run hotel, situated in the centre of Caputh, is the perfect base for many day trip destinations in and around the surrounding area and provides comfortable rooms and friendly service. The pretty and cosy hotel building is over 100 years old and is embedded in a beautiful natural area on the coast of the picturesque Schwielowsee Lake. We have a bar and a restaurant with outside seating as well as a function room available for your use.
