Set on Monte Amiata at an altitude of 1400 metres, Le Macinaie is in one of Europe's largest forests, right opposite the ski slopes. This family-run hotel offers free wellness facilities. Albergo Le Macinaie has been completely renovated and has a typical mountain design. It features a children's game room with a Wii games console, as well as a wellness area with sauna, jacuzzi and gym. Rooms come with satellite TV and a private bathroom. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas. The restaurant serves Tuscan specialities including homemade pasta and desserts and a variety of certified wines and olive oil. Breakfast is buffet style. Staff organise excursions and provide maps of cycling and trekking paths around Castel Del Piano. Bike rental is available, as is motorbike rental from May until October.
