Room information

Each room has its own particular style. All were tastefully furnished after hunting around the antique shops and flea markets of Switzerland, France and Italy. They are relaxing and comfortable, with some rooms on the upper floors offering a view over the mountains, and others on the ground floor looking out to the Chemin de l’Impératrice. The Romantic Suites offer views over the lake and the Alps.

Food & beverage

Our restaurant is the Buffet de la Gare de Caux. You will enjoy having your meals there from breakfast through to dinner, either à la carte, half-board or full-board. The ambience is warm, welcoming and always artistic. Our team of 3 chefs is available continuously from 08:00 to 22:00 (breakfast from 08:00 to 11:00 and à la carte meals from 11:00 to 22:00).

Area information

In the distance, Mont-Blanc reigns over the Alps. At our feet, Lake Geneva and its boats, Montreux, known throughout the world for its gentle atmosphere and its international festivals, the Museum of Vevey and the Pierre Gianadda Foundation in Martigny await our guests. Around us is the little village of Caux, with its winter slopes and summer hiking trails. Above us, the Dent de Jaman rises majestically to 2,045 metres above sea level.

Travel information

By train: Take the train to Caux from Montreux. Le Chalet is 500 metres from the Caux train station. At the first crossroads, follow the sign "Chalet de Caux". Then follow the sign for the "Hôtel A Capell'Art" until the sign for Chalet de Caux. Pick-up is possible for an extra charge at the train stations of Lausanne or Montreux. By plane: Geneva International Airport is 85 km from Montreux.

The A Capell’Art Hotel is a true haven of peace high in the hills above Montreux and is open all year round. This building from the end of the 19th century combines the charm of a long-gone era with modern-day comforts. You will appreciate its charm, tranquility and the magnificent views over Lake Geneva, Montreux and the Alps. Our rooms are all individually furnished and very cosy and comfortable. The rooms and the public spaces are decorated with works of art by contemporary artists which you can also buy during your stay.
