The hotel is located in the middle of the town very close to the central pedestrian square and ten minutes from Krumlov Castle. Its position, style and character encapsulate the charm of this town, which so many locals and visitors love. Český Krumlov, in the southeast of the Czech Republic is known for its art and architecture, and music and art festivals often visit the town. Make sure you visit some of the galleries, as well as wandering through the picturesque streets to get a real flavour of this special, pleasant town.

Area information

Krumlov Castle is unusually large for a town of Krumlov's size; and, in the Czech Republic, only Prague castle is larger. The castle also contains a preserved Baroque theatre which was completed in 1766. The theatre is still complete with original stage machinery, scenery and props. Krumlov also has a museum dedicated to the painter Egon Schiele, who lived in the town. Ten kilometers from Krumlov is one of the Czech Republic’s oldest monasteries, Zlatá Koruna ("The Golden Crown"). About 30 km from Krumlov is the Hluboká Castle, established in the 12th century and later remodelled according to Windsor Castle in England. Krumlov is close to the Šumava National Park, the Czech Republic's largest national park. The Šumava mountains lie along the border with Austria and Germany and offer a range of natural habitats - peat bogs, Alpine meadows, primeval forests, lakes, and rivers. The area is popular with walkers, cyclists, and canoeists on the Vltava. Other attractions in Český Krumlov or nearby in the surrounding area include: Castle Garden, the Revolving Theatre, the Museum of Torture, the Waxworks Museum, the Český Krumlov Regional Museum, the Graphite Mine and the Five-Petalled Rose Festival.

Travel information

Arrival by car: Please follow the signs in direction "City Center" when you reach the city. The hotel is located within the pedestrian zone! Parking information: Hotel Seneca is located at a pedestrian zone, which guests can enter by car, if they have a written confirmation of the reservation. In the entire town center parking is strictly prohibited. However you will be able to stop at the hotel to un- / upload your luggage. Then the car must be parked at one of the three municipal parking lots ( app. 400m from the hotel away ). You will be provided with the parking card at front desk of hotel. Arrival by public transportation: Nearest train station: Cesky Krumlov - app. 2km from the hotel away. Nearest bus station: Main Station - app. 800m away from the hotel.
