There are many signposted hiking and nature trails in the surrounding area. The nearby Koralm mountain range is an excellent hiking area. Sights in the vicinity include Hollenegg Castle and the castle museum in Deutschlandsberg. Many other attractions such as Stainz Castle, the city of Graz, the famous Bärnbach Church (by Hundertwasser) and the Lipizzaner stud in Piber are within a one-hour driving distance.
