Hotel information

On our 9-hectare property you find a beer garden, a barbecue area, a garden pond and a volleyball field. The Roßdorfer Altkanal flows directly past the hotel. A mooring point is available for visitors travelling by boat. The hotel has a history which stretches back over several centuries. It began as a small farm with a bar which offered lodgings for travelling merchants. The milestone (or "Meilenstein") at the hotel also dates back to this period, and lends the hotel its name.

Room information

In order to satisfy the individual wishes and needs of our guests, we offer two different room categories: Our Comfort Rooms provide a view of the garden and include either a balcony or a terrace. A minibar and flat-screen TV are available. The Standard Rooms offer a partial view of the garden and are comfortably furnished.

Food & beverage

The restaurant "Am Meilenstein" serves German and international dishes. We attach great importance to light meals and healthy ingredients. During the summer our beer garden invites you to eat and drink amid nature. We host regular barbeques and themed evenings here. The hotel bar offers an extensive list of beverages.

Area information

The area surrounding Genthin can be discovered by bike, car or on foot. Attractions in the area include the mills in Jerichower Land and the "Straße der Romanik" (Roman Street), where you find several monuments from the Middle Ages. We also recommend visiting the Altmark, a region which offers cultural attractions and leisure activities. Ancient churches, timber-framed buildings, charming palaces, the Bismarck Route, the Altmark Hanseweg path and a variety of museums are waiting to be explored. Popular activities in the area include hiking, horse riding, spas and water sports. Our region also offers regional culinary specialities such as "Altmärkische Hochzeitssuppe" (chicken soup with vegetables), "Salzwedeler Baumkuchenspitzen" (layered cake) and "Damwildmettwurst" (sausage). Brandenburg, Potsdam and Berlin can all be visited on day trips.

Coming from Hannover/Magdeburg: - Take motorway A2 Hannover/Berlin in the direction of Berlin. - Exit at Burg-Zentrum to the B1, Möser. - After approximately 40km you will reach the hotel which is located on the right-hand side. Coming from Berlin - At the Funkturm interchange change onto A115 and follow it for approximately 27km. - At the Nuthetal interchange change onto A10 and follow it for approximately 18km. - At the Werder interchange take the exit onto the A2 in the direction of Magdeburg, Hannover and follow it for approximately 16km. - At the Brandenburg interchange exit onto B102 in the direction of Brandenburg, Belzig. - After 4km you will pass by Brandenburg. The B102 will become the B1. After approximately 20km you will reach the hotel which is located on the left. Coming from Hamburg - Take motorway A24 in the direction of Lübeck, Berlin, Bremen and Schwerin and follow it for approximately 150km. - At the Meyenburg interchange change onto the B103 in the direction of Meyenburg, Pritzwalk-Nord. - After approximately 12km turn right onto Fritz-Reuter Straße (B107) and follow it for approximately 86km. - You will pass by Genthin, follow the B1 to Dunkelforth. - The hotel is located in a woodland area on the right. Coming from Dresden - Take the motorway A4 in the direction of Berlin and Görlitz. - At the interchange Dresden-Nord and after 1.5km change onto the A13 in the direction of Berlin and Cottbus and follow it for approximately 153km. - At motorway interchange Schönefeld take the A10 in the direction of Leipzig, Potsdam and Magdeburg. - After approximately 50km change onto the A2 in the direction of Magdeburg and Hannover and follow it for approximately 16km. - At the Brandenburg interchange change onto B102 in the direction of Brandenburg, Belzig. - After Brandenburg the B102 becomes the B1. Follow it for another 18km. - The hotel is located in a woodland area on the left.
