From as early as 1831, centrally situated between Hengelo and Enschede, stood a coach house, that would later - as a tourist attraction - provide valuable services. Over a century later, this is where you can find Enschede's oldest inn. Though the building was subject to a major interior renovation, it has retained its original character. The hotel part was built in the same Saxon style. There is a beautiful garden terrace situated between blooming plants and century-old trees. In summer, this is ideal for having lunch or for dining. There are conference facilities for up to 120 people. The rooms are fully-equipped and suitable for management and staff meetings. Hampshire Hotel - de Broeierd Enschede is also renowned for its splendid kitchen and personal attention.

The hotel comprises 61 luxurious rooms, including 15 splitlevel rooms (livingroom and sitting area are separated). In addition to listed facilities, all rooms are equipped with entrance security (keycards).

The hotel comprises stylish rooms for receptions, a 'diner-dansant' or dinner buffet. Three-course menus are served from EURO 28.50 per person.

Hampshire Hotel - de Broeierd Enschede is situated on the edge of the city of Enschede opposite the University of Twente. The hotel is along the road Hengelo / Enschede and is easily accessible by the following the "Universiteit Twente"-ANWB signs. Our guests can make use of the large parking space around the hotel.

All the hotel's rooms are situated on the 14th and 15th floor and only reachable by the lift. Please note that from 29 November until 24 December 2010 no lunch or dinner will be served in the restaurant.

Travel information

Parking: The hotel has a private parking, 80 places. By Car: From the Amersfoort / Apeldoorn direction: - Follow the A1 towards Hengelo. Then take the A35 towards Enschede. - Then take the Enschede Zuid turn off. - From here the route to Dish is signposted. From the Osnabrück direction (Germany): - Follow the 30 (A1 after crossing the border) to Oldenzaal. - Take the Enschede turn off and follow the N733 to Enschede. - Drive to the centre till you see the route to Dish is signposted. From the Oberhausen direction (Germany): - Follow the 31 to Gronau Then take the A35 to Enschede. - Then take the Enschede Zuid turn off. From here the route to Dish is signposted. By Public Transport: Enschede NS Railway is three minutes' walk from the Dish Hotel and the central bus station is within a stone's throw.
