The "De Renderklippen" restaurant provides excellent meals; extensive breakfast and lunch buffets and a wide range of dinners. You can also enjoy a snack and a drink in our cosily appointed "de Dikke Tinne" bar, the lobby or the brasserie.

Area information

The woods surrounding the hotel offers a host of cycling paths, walks and bridleways (route maps and cycle-hire are available at the reception desk). As well as the free acces nature reserves in the immediate vicinity of the Golden Tulip Epe, all kinds of excursions can be made, for example to the Dolfinarium in Harderwijk, the Kroller Muller Museum, the Apenheul, Paleis Het Loo and Burgers' Bush.

To Epe by Public Transport From the NS-trainstations Apeldoorn and Zwolle you can take a bus to Epe. The buslines and times of departure are: Departure from trainstation Apeldoorn Line 90: twice an hour; 4 minutes to every whole hour and 4 minutes to every half hour (travelling time approx. 30 minutes), Line 95: twice an hour; 14 minutes to every whole hour and 14 minutes to every half hour (travelling time approx. 22 minutes) You disembark at the 'centrum Epe'-stop. The walking distance to our hotel is approx. 3 km. We advise you to call a taxi from a telephone booth. Telephone: 0578-612424 or 0578-612446. To Epe by car You can reach Epe through the following motorways: A28 (Amersfoort-Zwolle), exit Epe; A50 (Apeldoorn-Zwolle) exit Epe. In Epe follow the signs in the direction of Heerde, at restaurant 'De Veldhoeve' to the left onto the Dellenweg. After approx. 2 kilometers you can see the entrance of Golden Tulip Epe at your left side, opposite the deer park.

Time to relax! You can use the beautiful sauna and steambath, solarium to relax. Also outside the hotel we have to offer you a lot. A terrace with roof and connected to a beautiful garden makes it all complete. For the people who like horses can leave their horse in one off the five horseboxes. From the hotel there are kilometer routes specially for horseriders. These will bring you to the most beautiful places of 'De Veluwe'. Not only the beautiful nature is surrounding "Dennenheuvel". You can also choose to see some nice other things like the castle Cannenburgh, The palace "Het Loo", the national park " De Hoge Veluwe", de Apenheul, The Anton Pieck Museum and the Dolfinarium. Also the cosy cities like: Elburg, Kampen and Hattem are close by to visit for a daytrip. And for the people who can`t leave shopping..........Shopping in Epe, Apeldoorn or Zwolle is absolutely worth! Walking- and cylclingroutes (bycilcles to rent huur), as well as further tourist information are available on request at the reception.

In the cosy restaurant you can enjoy the fine, honest cuisine. It is the perfect place for a romantic dinner, a business lunch and/or dinner, but also a terrific place for a party. In the agreeable atmosphere of the lounge with bar you can have a cup of coffee, an aperitif or nightcap with other guests, friends or your partner.

Dennenheuvel is a charming hotel in a idyllic area, near the centre of Epe. It is surrounded by rich nature and picturesque towns like Elburg and Hattem, Paleis 't Loo, Wellness resort de Veluwse Bron and the wonderful Kasteel Cannenburg. Museums and other attractions are also nearby. The area is ideal for cyling and walking. Dennenheuvel is located on the Veluwe, where the surprising landscape of forests and moors fascinates visitors every season. Dennenheuvel has comfortable rooms with bath or shower, colour TV and telephone. The rooms are quietly situated and lie on a garden with a terrace or have a (French)balcony. We have an excellent restaurant lounge with a bar. A good art of cooking and very original dishes. You can enjoy relaxation in the sauna or the steambath and solarium.

Rent a bike or Nordic walking sticks at the hotel and feel free to ask us for tips on where best to start exploring the beautiful surroundings. The village of Epe is certainly worth a visit; the cosy city centre has a diversity of charming shops. A short distance from the hotel you have the shopping cities Apeldoorn, Zwolle and Deventer. A number of recommended attractions, such as Animal Park De Wissel, the old museum of Veluwe and a candle maker are in the vicinity of the hotel. Old, nostalgic villages such as Hattem, Elburg and Kamp are really worth a visit. Wander the stunning grounds of Castle Het Loo and Castle Cannenburg or play with the monkeys the Apenheul. The Dolfinarium (a Dolphin park) is a particular favourite amongst children.

Enjoy a tasty meal out in the garden by the ponds or on the cosy terrace when the weather is fine. Our chef will prepare your lunch or dinner as you sit enjoying the fresh air. Our English-style restaurant is an equally pleasant place to enjoy a relaxed dinner and a view of the garden. Our menu offers a wide variety of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes as well as seasonal dishes such as asparagus and game specialities. A different 3-course dinner is prepared every month and a special warm and cold dessert buffet is served every last Sunday of the month at a special price. The restaurant is open daily from 12.00 until 21.00.

The spacious and comfortable rooms all have a private bathroom and are equipped with modern facilities. There are 6 rooms on the ground floor, 3 of which are equipped for disabled guests. The remaining rooms are spread over 2 floors and all enjoy a view over the beautiful garden and seating areas.
