By car: From Catania Airport: - Take the s.s.114 motorway towards Siracusa. - Exit at Siracusa (not Siracusa nord). - Turn right into Via Elorina. - Once you reach the second Q8 gas station on your left, turn left. - Continue straight on for about 1 km. - After the cross, take the second path on the right (Via Impellizzeri). - After 600 metres, turn left and you will reach the hotel on your left.

DIRECTION TO "LA ROSA SUL MARE" FROM CATANIA AIRPORT: - depart Aeroport Fontanarossa, Catania - go straight over small roundabout following signs for Siracusa - follow signs for A18 and Siracusa - take A18 (south) sign-posted to Siracusa and Ragusa - turn-off A18, to E45 (SS114), going south towards Siracusa and Ragusa - follow E45 for 50 Km towards Siracusa (mostly dual carriageway) - turn-off E45, sign-posted Siracusa at Km 152,800 (do not take earlier turn-offs for Siracusa Nord) - follow SS124 for approximately 7 Km until you reach the outskirts of Siracusa - you will arrive at a double roundabout, take second exit on first roundabout and first exit on second roundabout - follow Via Columba past McDonalds and various car garages for 1 Km, until you reach a T junction - turn rightat T junction into Via Elorina and follow the SS115 for approximately 3,3 Km until you see a Q8 petrol station on the left hand side - turn left in to the road immediately after the petrol station, which is sign-posted ARENELLA SP58 - follow the road for approximately 2 Km until you reach a roundabout. Go straight over the roundabout and you will pass an "alimentari Coca Cola" (smll grocery shop) on the left - follow the road for another 1,3 Km until you reach a right hand turn which is VIA DEI DIAMANTI - turn right into VIA DEI DIAMANTI and continue along this road (bearing to left) until you reach a large open space on the left. The B&B “La dimora di Giuseppe” is located at Fanusa, a sea resort, only 3 minutes from the sandy beach and 5 minutes from Syracuse’s historical centre. During the Greek domination, Syracuse was the second most important city of the Hellenic world, after Athens. Perhaps the most famous citizen of the ancient city is Archimedes, who lived in Syracuse in the 3rd century B.C. The numerous local historical sights include the Greek Theatre, inside the archaeological park, where still some classical plays are set during the months of May and June. In the same park you will find the Roman Amphitheatre, the Ear of Dyonisius (Orecchio di Dionisio) and the Hiero’s Ara. The museum boasts one of the most important collections of archeological finds of Sicily. The Cathedral, in the heart of the isle of Ortigia, was built in 1728, but it incorporates sections of a Norman church dating from the 8th century A.D. At easy reach also the small baroque towns of Noto, Modica, Ispica and Ragusa Ibla, all classified by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites.
