Room information

In the Landhaus Bärenmühle you can live as romantically as the mill-people of the past, whilst enjoying modern-day comfort. The rooms, suites and apartments are located within the 3 buildings of the charmingly restored millworks: namely the Huguenot’s house from 1735, the historic barn and the family home which was built in 1850. In the historic barn there is a lounge with a cosy tiled stove and with a small home library where guests are free to browse through the literary works.

Food & beverage

The hotel restaurant serves up culinary delicacies which combine a Northern Hessian and French touch. All food is prepared from fresh ingredients, mostly from the local region. Fare on offer ranges from a powerful Bärenfrühstück (literally: bear’s breakfast) to a stylish candlelit dinner. Try the refreshing beer from the local brewery in Bad Arolsen, which is also brewed without artificial additives. Some of the wines are French, in keeping with the Huguenot origins of the mill, and some wines are from selected vineyards in Germany.

The Landhaus Bärenmühle is a beautiful, timber-framed, listed building, offering comfortable rooms, suites and apartments. All rooms and areas are named after events and eminent people who played a significant part in shaping local history.
