Our hotel is located in the north-eastern part of the Lower Harz at a height of 600 metres – ideal for hiking tours and long-distance skiing in the winter. In the proximity you will find various points of interest such as Mount Brocken, the cities Wernigerode, Quedlinburg and Thale, the wild and romantic valley Bodetal as well as the valley Seletal.

Area information

The town of Friedrichsbrunn boasts 120 km of hiking and cycling paths as well as a local library and indoor swimming pool. You can take a ride by sleigh or in a horse-drawn carriage. Winter sports fans can hire skis or sleighs locally, and go cross-country skiing along officially designated ski-runs, or visit the local Skiing and Local History Museum. We also recommend a trip to the UNESCO world heritage site of Quedlinburg with its many unique half-timbered buildings. You can visit the St Servatius collegiate church and the world-famous castle with its treasures. Many quaint galleries and exhibitions are housed in the half-timbered buildings, and there is also a museum dedicated to the 18th century German poet Klopstock.

Our hotel complex comprises of 2 buildings. Haus Ostharz and Haus Promenade which are approximately 70 metres apart from each other. Between these 2 buildings is our reception building. For you, as our guest, use of the wellness area is free of charge. Special baths and massage treatments as well as a solarium are available for an additional cost.

Food & beverage

In addition to the tasty breakfast buffet, the room rate includes a delicious supper buffet. Both of these buffets are served in the Haus Ostharz building.

Area information

Our easily accessible location enables wonderful excursions throughout the area. You will find entertainment, action, culture or nature – something to suit every taste. Interesting destinations include Quedlinburg, Wernigerode, Rübeland with its stalactite caves, Hasselfelde with its wild west city "Pullman City II", Hexentanzplatz with its cable car, a summer toboggan run and, of course, the mountain peak Brocken. We also highly recommend a ride on the steam-powered locomotive "Harzer Schmalspurbahn“, which travels along the highest peaks of the Harz Mountains. The Bodetal conservation area is a pleasant area for hiking.

The holiday resort is situated in the health resort of Friedrichsbrunn, and lies at an altitude of 585 metres above sea level. The hotel is somewhat removed from the hustle and bustle, yet provides easy access to all of the attractions which the Harz Mountains have to offer. Friedrichsbrunn is renowned for its natural landscape. Some 186 kilometres of marked hiking trails (or cross-country ski runs in the winter) invite you to take part in some active recreation.
