Built between 1111 and 1131 and once owned by the abbey of St. Paul im Lavanttal, Schloss Gamlitz offers you wonderful county-house-style rooms in a unique historic ambience. Schloss Gamlitz is an ideal base for hiking and biking tours along the wine road of Southern Styria and for trips to the golf courses and thermal spas of the region. Around the castle you can find many great restaurants and country inns serving tasty regional cuisine. From April to November a free taxi service to/from the partner restaurants is offered daily until 23:30. Many open-air swimming pools and lakes can be reached within a few minutes. Schloss Gamlitz is also a great place for all kinds of events, providing refined traditional cuisine and charming yet discreet and skilled service.

The elegant Ferienapartments Wurzenberg Südsteiermark are very spacious and equipped with all amenities for a comfortable stay, from an espresso maker to a dishwasher. They offer beautiful panoramic views over the entire surroundings. The 2,500 m² fenced garden features roses, herbs and an arbour. Traditional Styrian cuisine, prepared by the local winegrower Maria, is served for breakfast and during the day on request. The South Styrian Hill Country is a beautiful wine-growing region with many cycling and hiking trails. Located in the South Styrian Wine Country Nature Reserve and surrounded by vineyards, orchards and fragrant meadows, the Wurzenberg offers rest and relaxation. From mid-April to mid-November, the Gamlitz Guest Taxi is available free of charge every day, taking you to over 100 restaurants in the region.
