Hotel information

Featuring two group rooms, this hotel is also ideal for meetings and seminars in quiet and tranquil surroundings. A transfer service is provided between the hotel and the hotel car-park which lies below the hotel. The sauna will be available from November 08.

Room information

Most of the rooms in the Riesserkopfhütte Garmisch lodge are fitted with bunk beds. Some double rooms are available.

Food & beverage

The restaurant is open from Thursday until Sunday, from 12:00 to 22:00. The Tonihütte naturally welcomes winter sports fans for après ski beverages.

Area information

During the summer the surrounding area is ideal for exploring nature and the Riessersee lake, while during winter, popular activities apart from skiing include ice skating and curling. Cultural attractions of Garmisch include Schloß Linderhof (Linderhof Castle), Schloss Neuschwanstein (Neuschwanstein Castle), Kloster Ettal (a Benedictine monastery) and the Wieskirche church.

Travel information

Please note that the hotel’s parking facilities are located at the Aule Alm in the valley, near the Kreuzeck mountain railway. The hotel chalets can only be reached via the free shuttle service, by ski or on foot.

Quick description

Lying 1250m above Garmisch-Partenkirchen, in the middle of the skiing region of Hausberg/Kreuzeck, Bavaria, this rustic hut provides a great base for both winter and summer breaks. The Riesserkopfhütte Garmisch skiing and hiking lodge offers 95 comfortable beds, ideal for individual or group holidays. The Tonihütte cabin restaurant serves delicious Swabian and Bavarian specialities in the evenings and can provide snacks during the day. In the summer you can enjoy a dip in the pool, a game of football on the football pitch or volleyball in the volleyball court. A children’s playground is available for younger guests. During winter, why not relax in the Finnish sauna after an energetic day of skiing.

Important information

The hotel’s shuttle service can pick up you up at the Aule Alm parking lot from 14:00 until 18:00. In exceptional cases, the service can be extended until 21:00. The shuttle service on the arrival and departure day are included in the room rate. Please note that the additional cost for towels and bed linen are not included because they can be brought along by the guests.
