Hotel information

This country house features many separate entrances to the spacious apartments, and is therefore very spacious and private. From the balconies, large garden or sun terrace you can enjoy a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains (including the Zugspitze). There is a sauna and a relaxation area in the cellar. Guests staying for a week or more can use the sauna once for free. Guests can also use the washing machine, tumble drier, ski stands and a garage for bicycles or motorbikes. There is a ski room for drying your clothes. There is also a covered barbecue area. You can use the hotel terrace or the fireplace lounge for family parties. The hotel can also arrange catering or cakes for small events. Upon request the hotel can provide a shuttle service from and to the railway station.

Room information

All apartments feature a balcony facing south towards the Zugspitze. The rooms to the east face also towards the Waxenstein mountain range and the rooms to the west have the most beautiful view towards the mountains and the Zugspitze. At between 50 and 108 square metres in size, the apartments are spacious and offer accommodation for up to 5 guests.

Food & beverage

On request you can enjoy a hearty breakfast in the cosy fireplace lounge, or on the beautiful south-facing terrace in the summertime. The terrace is decorated with flowers and features a view of the mountains. Self-catering guests will find shops nearby which stay open until 20:00 (except Sundays). Alternatively, you can arrange for sandwich rolls to be prepared for you each morning. Upon request, you can have the fridge specially filled for your arrival.

Area information

To the west the Landhaus Zum Jeremia borders onto a wooded nature preserve with foxes and deer. To the south you can enjoy a wonderful view. In this area you can go hiking, cycling, jogging or cross-country skiing. You can walk to the Zugspitze railway station within just 15 minutes. Within a 10-minute walk you will find an indoor and outdoor swimming pool with a large children’s slide, as well as fine restaurants. The spa town of Grainau offers many leisure opportunities. There are weekly children’s activities as well as tennis courts, horse riding stables and a concert in the spa pavilion up to twice a week. The hotel is happy to advise you on your planned hikes, and can lend you maps and equipment. Other leisure opportunities available locally include canoeing, kayaking, rafting, fishing, mountain biking, gliding, paragliding, skiing, snowboarding, ice-skating and taking a ride in a horse-drawn sleigh. There is an 18-hole golf course in Oberau (a 20-minute drive away) and 9-hole golf courses at Wallgau and Ehrwald. Some of the many other attractions in the area around Garmisch-Partenkirchen including the Olympic sports centre, St. Anton pilgrimage church, Werdenfels ruins, the Eibsee (lake), the Isar valley, the Ammer valley, Ettal abbey and Linderhof castle.

Travel information

From the Munich or Augsburg direction drive through the tunnel in Farchant, and then turn right towards Fernpass, Grainau. After passing through Garmisch-Partenkirchen, take the 1st exit towards Obergrainai and drive uphill. Turn right at Hotel Quellenhof and you wuill find the sign for Landhaus Zum Jeremia approximately one kilometre ahead. From Ehrwald drive as far as the village of Untergrainau and then take the Alpspitzstraße. After Hotel Alpenhof drive a kilometre ahead, turn left at the small chapel and left again after 60 metres. From here you can drive uphill to the hotel.
