Hotel Oostergoo is located in Grou, a popular holiday destination between Heerenveen and Leeuwarden, surrounded by the beautiful nature so typical of this unique province. From cycling to water sports and casual strolls through the patchwork of fields, this quaint village is a welcome change from big-city bustle. Newly renovated and equipped with modern facilities internet, the hotel rooms are ideal for solo travellers and families alike. The Thialf skating stadium is 25 minutes away by car. The Alde Feanen National Park and the Frisian Lakes are directly accessible by boat from Grou.

ATboot has a unique Grou waterfront location, with direct boat access to the famous Frisian lakes. It offers basic rooms and spacious apartments with free Wi-Fi and private bathroom facilities. Public transport: From Zwolle, take the train that stops at all stations en route to Leeuwarden. Get off at Grou/Irnsum station. The hostel is approx. 1 km away. From the station, walk to the centre of town. After about 750 metres, across from the cemetery, take a left in the direction of the bay. Follow the road over the drawbridge and along the water. After about 100 metres you will see the hostel. From Leeuwarden station you can take bus 95. Get off at the Parkstraat stop in the centre, across from the Wilhelminapark and next to the cemetery. Cross the street and take a left, in the direction of the bay. Follow the road over the drawbridge and along the water. After about 100 metres you will see the hostel.

Important information

Please note when booking a Double/Twin Room, it is possible that you will be staying in a 4 to 6 bed dorm. The remaining (bunk) beds will not be available for other guests. On arrival, guests will receive bed linen. Towels are available at a surcharge. Internet desks are available for guests to plug in their own notebook or smart phone. Computers are also available.
