The original hotel structure dates from the 16th century, although its present form is a result of 18th century modifications. The building is considered a site of great cultural interest. One of the most distinguishing elements of the exterior of the building is the wooden balcony, the same material also found in the interior of the property.

The cuisine is based on traditional Canarian cooking, elaborated with care and dedication, maintaining the flavours of yesteryear. Use the hotel as a base to explore Tenerife’s wonderful natural interior, full of pine forests and the national park which surrounds the huge Mount Teide. Visit the lava fields at the Malpais de Güímar natural reserve or the nearby ravines which run from the mountain’s summit to the ocean.

The hotel has been restored with a great deal of care, preserving the traditional Canarian styles. The rooms have been individually decorated and boast their own, unique character. Communal areas include the reading room, which is equipped with traditional wooden beams. The dishes served in the restaurant are homemade and traditional and you can sample a wide variety of wines in “La Bodeguita”. This hotel enjoys an excellent location in a natural setting and is the ideal place from which to take part in outdoor activities such as trekking.
