Area information

Many of the cycle and hiking trails around Halfing lead you through our pretty Bavarian homeland. Within a short time you will reach Chiemsee Lake, the Amerang Farmhouse Museum, the Automobile Museum or the Amerang Palace as well as the town of Wasserburg. Mozart's town of Salzburg and Berchtesgaden are also worth a visit. We have something for everyone, so take your pick of our many activities! Here you can go hiking, mountain climbing, travel to the peaks of the mountains via the mountain train, go for extensive walks, play golf or tennis (we have our own tennis court), go horse riding, fishing, sailing or simply sunbathe! Golfers will appreciate the 20% Greenfee reduction at the Höslwang 18 hole golf course, 5 km away.

This family-run hotel offers traditional rooms, Bavarian cuisine and free parking. It is located in the small Bavarian town of Halfing, a 20-minute drive from Chiemsee Lake and Wasserburg am Inn. All rooms at the Hotel Gasthof Kern include cable TV, a desk and a seating area. Some rooms offer free internet access and a balcony. Guests have free use of the Gasthof Kern’s sauna with shower and quiet area.
