A trip on the Hunsrück railway from Boppard to Ehr is a special treat, along one of the steepest and most beautiful sections of railway in Germany. The region offers many cultural opportunities. In the cultural centre at Emmelshausen there is a wide range of world-famous musicals, operas, operettas, theatrical and dance performances, cabaret. In addition, there is a great variety of leisure pursuits available locally, such as hiking, horse riding, minigolf, skating, cycling, tennis and going for rides in a horse-drawn carriage.

This family-run, country hotel is situated directly by a stream on the edge of a forest, in the Ehr district of Halsenbach, near the spa town of Emmelshausen. Come and stay here in this traditional building which used to house the local post-office. Enjoy the pleasant ambience, friendly service, nice rooms and fine cuisine. Go for a hiking or cycling tour in the charming surroundings. The hotel is ideally located for you to enjoy 3 different natural landscapes - the beautiful natural Hunsrück countryside, and the scenery of the Rhine and Moselle river valleys.
