Chalet features include a games room with tabletop football, Playstation 2, TV, board games and much more. There is also a spacious dining room with a beautiful, hand-carved ceiling, and a cosy lounge with an open fireplace, a flat screen TV with DVD Player, comfortable sofas and chairs.
In addition, there is a secure bike/ski Room with boot warmers, for all of your sports and motorcycling equipment plus a drying area for wet coats etc.

The spacious and comfortable bedrooms are all newly renovated and decorated. All our rooms are non-smoking.
Food & beverage
The typically Austrian breakfast buffet features a selection of cereals, yoghurts, local cold meats, cheese and fresh bread, fruit juice, freshly brewed coffee and a selection of teas. Dinner consists of a set 3-course meal and a daily salad bar, and includes a glass of wine with your meal.
Area information
Chalet Kammleitn enjoys a a beautiful and peaceful countryside setting, practically on the banks of the River Gail, and with direct access onto the R3 cycling/Nordic walking route.
Hermagor is just 6 km away, offering banks, shops and delicious bakeries. The Presseggersee and Weissensee lakes are just 10 km and 25 km away, offering a wealth of water-based activities in the summer months. Fishing, swimming, golfing and mountain biking are just a few of the activities on offer in the area.
For motorcyclists, many great tours are available between lakes and mountains - from Großglockner, Austrias highest peak, to Austrias warmest recreational lakes.
Travel information
Chalet Kammleitn is approximately a 1-hour drive from Klagenfurt Airport. We have negotiated some special rates for airport transfers. Please ask for details.
Arriving by train is possible, depending on your arrival time at Villach. You can then take a train from Villach to Watschig station, just 100 metres from Chalet Kammleitn. This is an extremely scenic route, but takes a lot longer than driving.

The Kammleitn is a “Biker Welcome” chalet, and offers a multitude of exhilarating rides for you to choose from. There are washing facilities for your bikes, a drying room with boot warmers, garages and secure outdoor parking for your bikes, detailed tour maps with GPS info, daily weather forecast printouts, and flexible board arrangements.
