Hotel information

Hotel, restaurant and café "Waldschloesschen" was built in 1923, and has been under direction of the Hanke family since 1976. After the gradual extension of the hotel, new hotel rooms were built, the old fountain was repaired, and a new garden and pond were created. In 2005, the floors of each room became a wooden finish.

Food & beverage

In March 2006, our restaurant had been affectionately renovated and offers a new outdoor grill now. Interesting for your palate: Every 3 months, we offer new dishes on our menu with corresponding wines from our vinothek. Game dishes from local forests, rump steaks, schnitzel, salads, vegetarian food, coffee and cakes are just a few things to choose from. In addition to that, we offer draught beer, various soft drinks and traditional snaps. Don’t miss our stock of German and International wines and champagnes at our vinothek. Our cuisine has become very popular in the region, as many people used to say: “A good thought, let’s go to Hanke’s”

For hikers and cyclists: Two hiking paths are directly in front of the hotel. Quick description

Directly between the Teutenburg Forest and the Heeresstrasse, on the route from Paderborn to Hameln and Hildesheim, you find our picturesque hotel, café and restaurant "Waldschloesschen". The B1 motorway is in direct proximity (exit Externsteine) and ensures an easy and fast access. Our "Waldschloesschen" is both starting point and destination for various hiking tours. It has been under direction of the Hanke family since 1976. The hotel comprises of 5 guest rooms, from which are 3 double and 2 single rooms.
