Directions from Cape Town International Airport: - On exiting the airport grounds, follow the Cape Town signs. - Drive over the bridge and immediately turn right towards and onto the freeway N2 which will take you towards Cape Town. - Closer to Cape Town you will see two cooling towers on your right hand side. - The road will start turning towards Table Mountain. - Closer to the mountain you will drive over a bridge the M5. - Make sure you are in the left lane. - You will drive underneath two bridges that are close to each other, and when you pass underneath the third bridge, the road will split. - To the right is Cape Town. - You need to turn to the left M3 Muizenberg turn-off. - Now you will be on De Waal Drive which will become Rhodes Drive. - The University of Cape Town will be on your right, the Rhodes Memorial a bit further on your right as well. - Soon after, go over to the right hand lane. - At the first set of traffic lights, turn to you your right Hout Bay/Kirstenbosch turn-off. - Drive past Kirstenbosch on your right, and at the T-junction turn right again. - Go uphill, there is a pedestrian crossing at the top on the turn be careful, and then downhill through all the turns past Cecelia Forest on your right until you get to the traffic circle at Constantia Nek. - Go around the circle avoid the first exit, and drive down Hout Bay Main Road towards Hout Bay. - To get to Pearl of Hout Bay, follow Hout Bay Main Road until you approach another round-about. - The SAPS will be on your left and the road to Cape Town/Llundudno to your right. - Go round the circle and carry straight on until you get to another round-about. - Turn to the right. - You will now be driving parallel with the sea towards the harbour. - When you reach the last round-about, turn right into Victoria Road. - Pearl of Hout Bay is the first brown apartment block on your right next to Dario's and a pet parlour.

Hout Bay is a fishing village with a working harbour. The Hout Bay beach consists of a large stretch of white sand ideal for sun batheing. Pass the Kirstenbosch gardens entrance and drive on until you reach a T Junction and turn right. Wind your way up towards Constantia Nek. * At the Constantia Nek circle turn second left out of the circle towards Hout Bay. * Proceed down the mountain until DISA ROAD. By Car: From Cape Town airport: - Take the N2 following signs for Cape Town city centre and Kaapstad. - As you approach the city, take a slip road off to the left signposted M3 Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and Muizenberg. - Turn right following the signs for Hout Bay M63. - Continue following the signs for Hout Bay, until after a very curvy drive through the beautiful blue gums of Constantia you come to a large roundabout. - With the Constantia Nek Hotel and restaurant on your left hand side, head straight on down the hill towards Hout Bay. - Continue down this hill until you see Tarragona Lodge signposted off to your right. Watch for this sign at night as it is a smallish brown sign on the left-hand side of the road. - Turn right onto Disa River Road and continue straight ahead crossing the river. - At the T-Junction turn left into Valley Road. - With the World of Birds on your right-hand side, at Stop Street turn left into Welbevind Way, a cul-de-sac, and Buchan Estate is the last property on the left.

Food & beverage

We have a dining area for the guests inside and on those hot summer mornings, you can enjoy your breakfast out on the veranda overlooking the harbour and the bay. We offer a full breakfast with a choice of cereals, warm bread, yoghurt and our famous fruit salad. There is also a choice of eggs with either bacon or sausage and all the extras. We will also cater for special needs as well as occasions such as Champagne breakfasts.

By Car: From Hout Bay to Marlinspike: - At the first roundabout in Hout Bay, turn right into Victoria Road. - Proceed over the bridge to the only traffic lights in Hout Bay. - Turn left down Victoria Avenue. - Follow Victoria Avenue through the village down to the harbour. - Pass Mariner's Wharf on your left. - 400 metres further along you will pass Dirty Dick's Tavern on your right. - 200 metres further along on your right you will see the first of the 5 Marlinspike Lodge signs. - At the first T-junction, turn right into Karbonkel Road. - Take the 2nd right into Bay View Road. - Then take the 1st right into Marlin Crescent. - Proceed for approximately 200 metres and you will find Marlinspike Lodge. - It is a yellow, double storey and terracotta coloured building on the bend, on the left opposite a large church.

Continue along the M63, past Kirstenbosch Gardens, to a T-junction. Turn right here and continue along the M63 until you reach a traffic circle. The M41 from Constantia joins from your left. Go two-thirds around the circle into Main Road (still signed “M63 and “Hout Bay”). Carry on along Main Road, for about six kilometres, to the next traffic circle. *** The left exit is signed “Imizamo Yethu”. Take the second exit, straight over, and continue for approximately one kilometre along Main Road, past a BP/Pick n Pay Service Station, to a Shell Service Station, situated on the corner of Main and Andrews. At this intersection is a set of pedestrian traffic lights. About 15 metres beyond these lights, take the road off to your left, at a diagonal.
