This hotel sits in the Ilsetal valley on the outskirts of Ilsenburg and on the borders of the Harz Mountains national park, boasting 250 kilometres of hiking trails. The 3-star Waldhotel am Ilsestein was completely modernised and renovated during November and December 2008. The Waldhotel offers romantic, cosy rooms with modern amenities including free internet access. Relax in the Waldhotel am Ilsestein’s wellness area, which includes an indoor swimming pool (8m x 5m), two saunas, which are free of charge, as well as a solarium, infrared cabin and massages. Other facilities the hotel has to offer are a billiard and table tennis room, table football and skittles. Additionally, there are two play rooms for children, a reading room and a small library. In the morning, enjoy a hearty breakfast buffet. In the evening, dine on regional specialities, including game, in the restaurant, with adjoining conservatory from which you have views of the surrounding forest and the Ilse stream.
